Alphabet, Amazon and Meta raised their 2026 capex guidance; Microsoft says its calendar-2026 expectation is unchanged once a lease reclassification is stripped out. A claim went around that most of the money goes to power rather than chips. Checked line by line against the filings and transcripts, that ratio is backwards — but power is still the binding constraint, for reasons that have nothing to do with cost.
